After that, we will visit the Parque Nacional de las Cañadas, by doing several stops at the most interesting places. There will be some free time to walk around this amazing area.

¡SEA-mérgete!, a diving activity.

Sunday 4 and Saturday 10 9:00-18:00 (exact scheduling TBC). Radazul

Have you never dived and want to try? There is no better place than the coast of Radazul, in the southeast of Tenerife, very close to La Laguna and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (journeys of approximately 20 minutes by car). It is a privileged area with ideal conditions for diving practically 365 days a year since it is naturally protected by the profile and orography of the island. Life in the waters of Radazul is abundant and diverse: old fish, pejeverdes, octopuses, sargos, cuttlefish, fulas, pot-bellied, ... can be observed at very shallow depths. Together with Deep Ocean Diver center, with 12 years of experience, we have organized a day of diving baptisms for people attending the SEA and accompanying persons. This inmersion in the fascinating aquatic world of Radazul is the best way to end a discussion about the Universe.

Diving baptisms consist of a short and shallow dive led by an expert diver who accompanies each person individually and is in charge of handling the equipment so that we only have to enjoy the experience. As the only requirement, it is necessary to pass an online health questionnaire. We recommend that all interested persons access this form prior to registration to ensure that they meet the conditions to carry out this activity.

* In the following 12 hours after the dive, you should not take a plane or go to very high places (Teide National Park). Please take this restriction into account before planning your trip. *

Radazul is also a popular bathing area. The south coast includes areas of access to the sea from rocks and sand, while in the north, a 5-minute walk away, is La Nea beach, with black sand. There are two children parks (a small sand park and a larger one made of stones, in the so-called Guadamojote Park), a grocery store and an area of terraces on the shore of a sports pier. About a 15-minute walk away (uphill), we find a small shopping center with a pizzeria, a home-cooked food place, a homemade pastry shop, a cafe/bakery, and the Deep Ocean Diver center (wet zone and dry zone). A wide offer to spend the day before and/or after enjoying the unique experience of SEA-immersion. This activity has a quota limited to 36 people, on a first come-first served basis. The price is 59 EUR and includes transportation by bus from the University of La Laguna (the exact pick-up point can be negotiated depending on the accommodation of the participants) and diving baptism (complete equipment included). The pick up time will be at 9:00 and the return is estimated around 18:00. Meals and drinks not included. Registration will open on June 17.
