Following the onset of GRB 110328, a puzzling source (Sw 1644+57) was discovered. Multiwavelenght observations carried out since then, have revealed for the first time the birth and formation of a collimated jet in an active galactic nuclei, at z = 0.354. GTC observations have been most essential in determining the nature of the source.
