Lyman Alpha Emitter and Lyman Break Galaxy Candidates with OSIRIS
Abstract
We present the detection of a magnified high-redshift Lyman Alpha Emitter (LAE) at z=6.5. The observations were performed using OSIRIS/GTC. Simple lensing models were created to characterize the system, indicating that the lens appears to be group of galaxies at z>1, and the LAE has the lowest reported unmagnified flux for similar objects at z>5.7. Image enhancement shows a possible Einstein ring.
