Abstract

We present here the study carried out to know the physical properties of selected galaxy populations at this epoch.
This sample consisted of 12 galaxies observed with GNIRS / GEMINNI and LIRIS 12 / VLT, in the Chandra Deep Field South, a unique field to study the evolution of galaxies. At this moment, we have 15 Halpha detections, 5 rotation curves, Stelar Mass-SFR relationship for 7 galaxies and metallicities for 5 galaxies. We study Halpha and [NII]6584 and [OIII]5007 when is possible, and combining these observations with the already merged x-ray, ultraviolet, optical, near and mid-infrared imaging data to obtain estimations of SFRs, metallicities, stelar and dynamical masses, AGN activity and extinction properties. These galaxies correspond to the time when the Hubble sequence was forming and represent the connection between the universe at high redshift and the present population of galaxies.
