We present the designs and analysis for the MEGARA cryostat that will harbor the CCD for the spectrograph. A closed and open cycle cryogenic systems have been analyzed; however the traditional liquid nitrogen system has been selected, main fetures will be discussed in this presentation. The designs have been done at INAOE and the cryostat will be fabricated in our facilities. We already have submitted advanced designs for the conceptual and preliminary stages within the MEGARA project presented to the GTC board.
