Abstract

The existence of pulsations in HgMn stars is still debated. In order to provide the first unambiguous, observational detection of pulsations in this class of chemically-peculiar objects, the bright star HD 45975 was monitored for nearly two months by CoRoT. We present a preliminary analysis of the light curves independently carried out by two teams (Liege and Meudon) and briefly discuss the results of a multisite, ground-based spectroscopic campaign overlapping the CoRoT observations.
