A 3-D morpho-kinematic study of M 1-32
Akras Stavros, Lopez Albeto, Steffen Wolfgang

Abstract

M1-32 is a member of the rare group of planetary nebula with Wolf-Rayet central star and expansion velocities higher in [O III] and He I than in [N II] and H$eta$ (Medina et al. 2006). High resolution spectra from SPM are presented showing high-speed bipolar collimated outflows with expansion velocities of up to 150-170 km/s in H$alpha+$[N II] lines. In addition, an equatorial ring is also found with expansion velocities of up to 20-30 km/s. This information is used in order to produce a 3-D model using the morpho-kinematic code SHAPE. The preliminary results show that M1-32 is seen almost pole-on with inclination angle between 5 and 10 degrees with respect to the line of sight. We also conclude that the outflows jets can only be described with a cylindrical velocity component in agreement with magneto-hydrodynamic models.
