North of the Island

In Puerto de la Cruz:

Lago Martiánez (Martianez Lake) is a large complex of attractively shaped swimming pools laid out amongst fountains and palms, designed by the famous architect César Manrique

Plaza del Charco is one of the most travelled by visitors, have a coffee bar with terrace and live music, a park where you will love the little ones enjoying the slides and swings.

Loro Parque home to over seven hundred parrots, the Park has also become home for many other rare and exotic creatures from around the world. The Thai village will take you to a magical kingdom and winding pathways will entice you into an exciting world.... The attraction Park has Orcas, Dolphins, Sea-Lion, Dolphin, and Parrot Shows, Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Tigers, and the world largest Penguin house where 12 tons of snow falls each day.

Pueblo Chico is located close to Puerto de la Cruz, this tourist attraction stand in 20,000 square meters of land and is home to miniature models all of which you will find in the Canary Islands.

Jardín Botánico (Botanical Garden) has a fantastic selection of ornamental and fruit-bearing trees, flowers, including exotic orchids, many cacti, creepers and vines and 2 big garden pools with water lilies, dragon flies, terrapins and fish.

In La Orotava:

La Casa de los Balcones (House of Balconies) has an inner courtyard in which tall palms grow and stag horn ferns hang in baskets, while up above the ornate Canarian style balconies look down on it all. Local foods, wine, arts and crafts, clothing and textiles are on sale.

In Icod de los Vinos:

Drago Milenario de Icod (Dragon Tree of Icod) is considered the oldest tree of the archipelago is now around 800 years old, over 16 meters high and has a circumference base of 20 meters.

Mariposario del Drago (Butterfly Garden) next to the Millenary Dragon. Inside you will be able to enjoy watching more than 800 butterflies coming from the tropical habitats all over the world flying free around, you will see how they emerge from their pupae and you will learn all about their fascinating metamorphosis.

Cueva del Viento (Wind’s Cave) is the 5th world's biggest cavity in volcanic soil, after Hawaii. At the moment are explored 18 km, but the end is not already known.

Teide the volcanic nature of the Mount Teide National Park makes for a geological playground full of fascinating hiking trails and routes.

South of the Island

Aguilas del Teide is a fantastic zoo and botanical park with over 500 birds and animals and acres of jungle.

Siam Park is the most incredible water park in Europe.

Aqualand is a water attraction with rides such as the Kamikaze; Super Slalom, Twister, Anaconda, Crazy Race and Mini Park all this plus a superb dolphin show.

Diving in Tenerife is now recognized as a world class diving destination and divers from all over the world are discovering the hidden treasure of diving in Tenerife.

Los Gigantes is one of the most photographed sceneries of the island. Its impressive vertical walls, some of them with more than 600 meters of altitude, go deep into the sea down to approximately 30 meters under the sea.

Masca is one of the most picturesque parts of the island and has been declared an ethnographic and architectural place as an example of the ancient natural architecture in the Canary Islands.

Charming Towns

Santa Cruz is the capital of Tenerife. - A bustling city and shipping port (one of the busiest in Spain and deepest in the world). Shopping is excellent from the Plaza de España on the seafront to Plaza de Candelaria. The most visited place in Santa Cruz is "La Plaza de España" by the sea, where the futuristic auditorium stands. The city also has large landscaped areas, which maintain the calm of the modernist architecture. There are also lots of tree-lined avenues, parks and squares, which are ideal for taking a stroll.

La Laguna was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1999 and is the island's second largest city. The city comprises two sections, the earlier, unplanned "Upper Town" the later, ideal, "Lower Town".  La Laguna has several tourist attractions, among them the Cathedral of La Laguna, the Iglesia de la Concepción, the Old City, the Real Santuario del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna, and the University of La Laguna.

La Orotava is a beautiful old town full of magnificent architecture, shady squares and mellow houses. The old historic centre should certainly be visited. The town also has a botanical garden - "La Hijuela del Botánico" with more than 3,000 different tropical and subtropical plants.

Garachico is a small fishing port that was almost totally destroyed by lava flowing down to the sea in 1706. The lava solidified and formed a small peninsula upon which parts of Garachico were rebuilt. The most well known survivor of this volcanic outburst is the beautifully preserved Castle of St. Michael(Castillo de San Miguel). Today the town is charming with lots of unique architecture.

Icod de los Vinos is one of Tenerife's oldest towns, with a famous Dragon Tree that is said to be over 1000 years old and a butterfly farm.
