Registration instructions
The school is primarily intended for advanced MSc students, PhD students and young postdocs working at the intersection of Astrophysics, Cosmology and Particle Physics. Those interested in attending should register using the online form below. Once registered, please log in to your personal area and provide information about your Curriculum Vitae, brief motivation, scientific publications and (optionally) information on your contributed talk or poster. In addition, we request a letter of reference from your thesis advisor (or Head of Department) to be sent by email to the Winter School Secretariat. All information should be submitted to the IAC not later than 11 September 2022. Selected candidates will be informed before 16 September and instructions on how to proceed with the payment of the registration fee will then be sent.
Attendance requires a registration fee, which covers:
- Welcome cocktail
- Morning coffee during the lecture days, and afternoon coffee on 4 particular days
- Lunch in a separate, dedicated room at the nearby Faculty of Economics (~8 mins walk from school venue)
- Conference dinner
- Full-day excursion to the "Cañadas del Teide" in Tenerife on November 26th, including a visit to the Observatory, a luch in a typical Canarian restaurant and a guided visit to La Laguna.
The registration fee is 400 €. Instructions for the payment of the fee will be sent with the confirmation of attendance.
We are also planning an optional visit to the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in the beautiful island of La Palma, on Saturday December 3rd, with an additional cost of 235 €. This trip will take place if it gathers the interest of a minimum amount of people (15), a requirement that has been met in all previous edition of the school. The trip includes the return flight from Tenerife to La Palma, bus transfers, lunch and a guided tour of the main telescopes. It is a full day trip, and we do not expect to be back in Tenerife before 20:30h or so.
A limited number of grants may be provided by the organizationt to a limited number of participants that will consist of waiving the fee. Those applicants requiring grants may fill in the corresponding form in the personal area, once registered. The participants awarded any grants will be informed by 16 September.
