Traking the effects of a pulsar radio beam evolution
Abstract
We have performed a standard population synthesis of galactic pulsars including a model of a pulsar beam evolution. The beam width, inclination angle as well as observer's direction have been calculated for every simulated pulsar. The effect of the correlation between pulsar spin axis and kick velocity vectors was also an option of our simulations. We have tracked various scenarios of pulsar magnetic inclination angle evolution (constancy, alignment or counter-alignment) and found that they, in principle, can be distinguished in real observations. Here we discuss the results of the simulations.
