Registration instructions
The school is primarily intended for doctoral students and recent postdocs in any field of research in Astronomy. Those interested in attending the Winter School should register using the online form below. Once registered, please log in to your personal area and introduce your Curriculum Vitae and contributed poster information. In addition, we request a letter of reference from your thesis advisor (or Head of Department) by email to the Winter School Secretariat. These should reach the IAC before June 15th. Selected candidates will be informed by July 1st.
The registration deadline has been extended to 30th August.
Attendance requires a registration fee, which covers:
- Welcome cocktail
- Conference fee
- Welcome dinner
- Accommodation and breakfast for thirteen days (arrival Sunday 8th, departure Saturday 21st, on the basis of shared rooms)
- Visit to the Teide observatory, Tenerife (including lunch)
- Morning and afternoon coffee during the lecture days
- Conference dinner
- Copy of the proceedings
- Optional visit to the Roque de los Muchachos observatory, La Palma.
The basic registration fee is 1100€. It is 1300€ if you wish to go on the highly recommendable, but optional, trip to the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma. This includes your flight, transfers, lunch and a guided tour of the principal telescopes.
A non-refundable pre-registration of 150€ is required to secure your place in the School.
Hotel bookings are handled directly by the organization. Those participants wanting to share a room with a specific person should indicate it by email to winter@iac.es.
