The SW Sex system KR Aurigae: dynamical mass measurements during low state

Abstract

KR Aurigae is a non-eclipsing SW Sex/VY Scl system with an orbital period in the 3-4 hours range. We have dynamically determined, without prior assumptions, its binary parameters during the low state. To do this, we obtained time-resolved optical spectroscopy and photometry of KR Aur on a number of epochs.
