Teresa García-Milà
Teresa Garcia-Milà Lloveras is director of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. She is professor in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and associate researcher at Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional. She is member of the board of directors of Banc Sabadell, member of CAREC (Consell Assessor per a la Reactivació Econòmica i el Creixement) and member of the AIREF’s Advisory Board (Autoridad Independiente de Responsabilidad Civil).
Her research has focused in studying the impact of public investment on economic growth, and in the analysis of how different tax structures and fiscal federalism models influence economic growth, the distribution of resources and the economic wellbeing.
She has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelors degree from Universitat de Barcelona. She has been President of the Spanish Economic Association (2014), member of the board of Cercle d’Economia (1995-2013), director of the department of Economics and Business (2011-12), Vicerector of Scientific Policy (2009-2011) and Dean of the School of Economics and Business (1995-2000) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She was associate professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and at State University of New York at Stony Brook.
