Doñana Biological Station (EBD)

Founded as a small research institute to provide scientific advice for the management of the Doñana National Park, the Doñana Biological Station (EBD-CSIC) has grown into a respected academic institution whose fundamental mission is to carry out a multidisciplinary research directed to understanding, from an evolutionary viewpoint, the way biodiversity is generated, maintained, and how it deteriorates, as well as the consequences of its loss and the possibilities of its conservation.
