Avelino Corma

Avelino Corma is Research Professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ-UPV), focussing his research on the molecular design of solid catalysts for sustaineble catalytic processes in refining and fine chemistry. He is co-author in more than 1200 sicientific publications and 100 patents. His h-index is 109. Among many other distinctions, he is full member of Royal Spanish Academy of Engineering and Royal Spanish Academy of Sciences. Also, he is member of the National Academy of Engineering (USA) and Royal Society (UK). He has received many awards such as ‘Rey Jaume I’ Prize in New Technologies, ‘F. Gault’ Lectureship Award by EFCAT, Breck Award by IZA, Gold Medal of RSEQ, Samorjai Award by ACS, A.V. Humboldt Research Award, RSC Centenary Prize, Grande Médaille de l’ Académie des Sciences and ‘Príncipe de Asturias’ Award in Technical and Scientific Research, among many others.
