RR Lyrae Stars Temporal Parameters Determination and Photometric Redshifts within J-PAS & J-PLUS Surveys, Bayesian Approach
H. Vázquez Ramió

Abstract

The Javalambre-Physics of the Accelerating Universe Astrophysical Survey (J-PAS)
and the Javalambre-Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS) are focused on
Cosmology and Galaxy Evolution. They will be executed at the Pico del Buitre, in
Teruel (Spain) in the brand new Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre. The main
strategy of both surveys is the use of a large set of narrow-band filters plus some
broad-band ones: 54+5 in J-PAS and 7+5 in J-PLUS. 8500 square degrees will be
observed and each patch in the sky will be revisited a few times.
Two science cases are presented here that could be addressed employing Bayesian
inference. In the spectral domain: the determination of photometric red-shifts
from the magnitudes obtained with J-PAS and, in the temporal domain: the
estimation of pulsation periods, amplitudes and subtypes of RR Lyrae stars
observed with both surveys.
