An eccentric accretion disk sttructure changes in KU Cyg, an Algol-type binary system.

Abstract

We present the results obtained from the light curve modeling
and analysis of the Hα, double peaked emission line observed in KU
Cyg. Our results show clearly that the disk in this system is noncircular
and precessing. The system mass ratio near q = 0.13
indicate that the 3:1 resonance could be responsible for the disk
precession. Based on the spectroscopic data it is shown that the time
scale of perturbation, responsible for the growth of the disk
eccentricity, is close to τ ̴ 6 years, in agreement with King (1994)
results.
