High precision RV measurements and p-modes oscillations on the solar-like subgiant beta-Aquile
Abstract
An interesting asteroseismic target is the subgiant $\beta$ Aql (G8IV, ${\rm m_V}=3.71$). This is an ideal target for asteroseismic investigations, because precise astrometric measurements are available from {\it Hipparcos} data which would then greatly help to constrain the theoretical interpretation of the results. We present the result of 6 night of high precision RV measurements obtained with SARG@TNG where the possibility of detecting for the first time individual frequencies on this star will be discussed.
