A cosmological SPH MHD code: application Clusters of Galaxies
Abstract
Using the implementation of Smoothed Particle Magneto Hydrodynamics (Dolag & Stasyszyn, arXiv:0807.3553) we study the effects Magnetic Fields on Cooling Flows in Galaxy Clusters.
We implemented several regularization schemes for the Magnetic Field as well as Div(B) cleaning that allow us to check the robustness of our results against numerical artifacts from numerical non vanishing div(B) in the simulations. We study amplification, structure and dynamical importance of the magnetic field in the cool core regions and compare synthetic Faraday rotation measures with observations.
