Registration instructions
The school is primarily intended for doctoral students and recent postdocs in any field of research in Astronomy. Those interested in attending the Winter School should register using the online form below. Once registered, please log in to your personal area and introduce your Curriculum Vitae and contributed poster information (optional). In addition, we request a letter of reference from your thesis advisor (or Head of Department) by email to the Winter School Secretariat. These should reach the IAC before June 23rd. Selected candidates will be informed by the end of July and instructions on how to proceed with the payment of the registration fee will be sent.
Attendance requires a registration fee, which covers:
- Welcome cocktail
- Morning and afternoon coffee during the lecture days
- Conference dinner
- Visit to the Teide observatory, Tenerife, on November 18th (including lunch)
- Copy of the proceedings
The basic registration fee is 350€.
An optional daily trip to the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (La Palma) will be organized on November 19th. The extra cost of 250 € includes the flights from/to Tenerife/La Palma, transfers, lunch and a guided tour of the principal telescopes.
A limited number of grants will be provided by the organization to cover accommodation (double room - breakfast included - shared with another participant in Hotel Nivaria). Those applicants requiring accomodation grants may fill in the corresponding form in the personal area once registered. The selected participants will be informed by the end of July.
