Code of conduct

As organizers of SCALE 2026, we are committed to making this conference both productive and enjoyable for all attendees. By attending, you agree to uphold the IFT  code of conduct.  This code applies to all conference-related interactions, both in-person and online. We strive to create a diverse environment where attendees feel welcome and are treated with respect and dignity — regardless of gender, origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, career status, or family situation. We appreciate and encourage collaboration, curiosity, and open-mindedness to foster a supportive atmosphere.

Reporting unacceptable behaviour

We expect attendees to act in a considerate, inclusive manner and maintain a positive environment. Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, bullying, or intimidation; discriminatory or offensive comments regarding race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic; violence, threats, or deliberate disruption; and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes or language.
If you experience or observe any inappropriate conduct, please email us or speak directly to an organizer. All reports will be handled promptly and confidentially, and organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action, such as issuing warnings or removing individuals from the conference without a refund. We welcome any questions about the code of conduct or how it is enforced.

EDI contact person

For EDI-related inquiries or concerns, please reach out to Andriana Makridou, either in person at the conference or via email (andriana.makridou AT ift.csic.es), whose role is to help us maintain a fair and inclusive environment during the conference and ensure that any EDI-related issues are addressed effectively.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us create and maintain a respectful environment for all.
