Preparations
In preparation for the Training School, to maximize the learning opportunities and to ensure a smooth start for the exercise sessions it is important to install, ahead of time, the two items below:
1) PGOPHER ( instruction manual here ).
2) Please update the git repository following the instructions "Updating the contents" on - https://github.com/adityamarabhavi/astrochemschool2024 . It includes now all exercises that we offer at the school next week.
3) Please also download and install the programme " Avogadro ". It is available for every platform. On Mac's you may encounter a security warning "the developer cannot be verified". The developer is trusted and the exception can be overruled going into Finder, Control+Click the app > click Open.
4) Should you encounter issues with installations (e.g. pgopher on newer Mac's), do not worry, we can try to help you fix them Monday/Tuesday or you may need to team up with another student doing the same exercise.
