Registration

 

Registration fees are 275 euro (early-bird registration, if registered and fully paid by 1 April, 2019) or 325 euro for regular registration. There are no automatic discounts for students or other categories, but grants are available (deadline for application 15 March 2019, see Financial Support). On-site desk registration will be limited.

Registration fees include

• Admission to all sessions
• All lunches & coffee breaks (5 days)
• Welcome reception
• Conference dinner
• Excursion to Teide Observatory
• Congress documents
• An electronic copy of the proceedings

Registration fees do not include

• Accommodation
• Excursion to Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma
• Touristic excursions
• Travel expenses
• Personal insurance
• A paper copy of the proceedings

All sessions will be held in English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

 

 

Grants

Grant applications are accepted from the opening of the registration to the deadline on 15 March 2019. Applicants will be informed on the status (granted or not) of their funding request before the end of the Early Bird registration deadline (1 April 2019).

Payment terms

Full prepayment is needed prior to the conference. Payment is not needed when registering. An invoice will be sent upon request only (iaus355@viajeseci.es) after the conference at no charge.

 

Cancellation policy

All cancellations and changes are to be addressed to the Congress Secretariat in written form at any stage prior to or during the event. E-mail: iaus355@viajeseci.es

Fees will be refunded after the conference, according to the following policy for cancellations received:

• before May 1^st, 2019: 100% refund less bank charges.
• from May 1^st to June 1^st, 2019: An administration fee of 50 € will be charged.
• after June 1^st, 2019 : No refund can be made.

Substitutions can be made at any time before the conference starts, by contacting the Congress Secretariat in written form. Organisers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.

 

Personal insurance

It is strongly recommended that participants take out insurance to cover loss (including registration fees) incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses and loss of personal effects. The Congress Organizer will not accept liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to participants, either during or as a result of the programme.

 

Data protection

We inform you that your personal data will be added to the Viajes El Corte Inglés database for information related to IAU conferences. By filling in the registration form, you authorize Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias (IAC) to use your personal data for the mentioned purposes (see policy). IAC (as organiser of the IAU Conference) has commissioned Viajes El Corte Inglés with registration, abstract handling, hotel booking and exhibition related tasks. Viajes El Corte Inglés is a serious congress services provider respecting your privacy and protecting the personal information that we handle. All personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, in the light of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). Liability

Viajes El Corte Inglés shall act as a mediator only and cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred or any damage inflicted on persons or objects irrespective of whatsoever cause. Only written agreements shall be valid. The place of jurisdiction shall be Spain.
