Abstract details

We will present the results of a detailed stellar population analysis of the globular cluster system of NGC 5128 combining high-quality optical spectroscopy, far- and near-UV photometry and archival NIR Spitzer photometry. A number of puzzling inconsistencies are revealed, in particular between the age predictions of SSP models from optical spectroscopy and NIR photometry. Possible explanations for these inconsistencies are discussed along with suggestions for further tests of the current generation of SSP models.
