Chemical Abundances in the Galactic Bulge
M. ZoccaliAbstract
I will present results from a high-resolution spectroscopic survey of bulge field stars, conducted with FLAMES. About field 800 stars, at four different galactic latitudes, where observed with the GIRAFFE spectrograph (R=22,000) and a subsample of about 50 where observed with UVES (R=45,000).
I will discuss the Iron abundance and its radial gradient along the bulge minor axis, together with detailed abundances of some elements, with emphasis on oxygen. Implications for the formation of the Galactic bulge will be discussed.
