Abstract details

Using a catalog of morphologically classified bright galaxies derived from Third Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Fukugita et al) the statistical properties of different photometrical and spectroscopical parameters as a function of morphology is examined. The total photometrical sample include 2253 galaxies of all morphological types as defined by Fukugita et al. The total spectroscopical sample is somewhat smaller, with 1848 galaxies. Statistical analysis is performed on both of these samples as well as on sub-samples of elliptical, spiral and irregular galaxies
