Star formation and evolution of the cluster of galaxies Abell 2125

Abstract

We present in this work an analysis of the star formation rate (SFR) of the galaxies of the rich cluster Abell 2125 based on Halpha images and the X-ray images from CHANDRA. We found that the galaxies of this cluster show an unusually high SFR compared to other clusters. We also discuss on the influence of the subclustering of this cluster (as suggested by the X-ray structure) on the galaxies SFR.
