Fee waivers and reductions
Fee waivers and reductions are available to stimulate the in-person attendance of junior colleagues and others who will not be able to attend without such support. This can include MSc and PhD students, postdocs, and faculty, in particular from low-income countries. If the cost of the conference fee might hinder your attendance, in-person or online, you are encouraged to apply for fee support and explain your case. Fee waivers are also available for online attendance.
If you wish to apply for a fee waiver or reduction you first have to register (below), then log in to your personal area with your username and password and submit the fee support request (by May 1st). If you are an undergraduate, MSc or PhD student and wish to apply, please ask your academic supervisor to support your application and explain how your work is related to LSST. Ask your supervisor to send that statement by email to the conference secretariat ( lssteurope6@magnacongresos.es), indicating as subject 'Support for request for fee waiver/reduction - [your name]', by May 1st.
Priority will be given to participants from the Science Collaborations, from LSST Corporation member institutions, from inclusiveness target countries (ITC; https://www.cost.eu/uploads/2021/03/ITC.pdf) and to participants who wish to present (talk or poster).
There are no accommodation or travel grants, but relatively cheap options are available in Los Cancajos or in nearby Santa Cruz de La Palma (e.g. Pensión La Cubana).
Deadline for applications for fee waiver or reduction has passed (was May 1st).
