Code of conduct

The LSST@Europe Franchise regards its annual meetings as a unique opportunity for the free and open exchange of scientific ideas, as well as the fostering and formation of professional and social contacts across cultures. We want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all assistants are expected to show respect and courtesy to other participants and staff. Creating a supportive environment to enable scientific discourse at this meeting is the responsibility of all attendees.

We are committed to providing an environment free from harassment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, nationality, religion, physical appearance or political opinion. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees in any form. All communications (both verbal and written) should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes a diverse range of backgrounds. Sexist language and imagery should not be used at any time during this meeting including presentation and posters.

LSST@Europe6 has adopted in full the Rubin Observatory practice of the  AURA Harassment and Code of Conduct Policy and the  Code of Conduct of the LSST PCW Franchise.

These documents will be applicable in full power during LSST@Europe6, and all participants are urged to understand them and follow their recommendations both in the preparation and execution of the Conference. When you register for LSST@Europe6, the organisers will ask you to acknowledge that you have read and agree with the materials listed above.

Any participant who wishes to report a violation of this policy is asked to speak, in confidence, to the organizers ( lssteurope6@magnacongresos.es). The LSST@Europe6 Organizing Committee will announce contact persons for reporting cases of bullying, harassment, aggression, or any other sort of human rights violation, who will be available at the site during the conference when the dates of the conference are approaching. Reports will be handled by contact persons in accordance with the aforementioned documents.

Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, respectful space for all.
