Application instructions
The school is primarily intended for advanced MSc students, PhD students and early career Post-Docs working on galaxy formation and evolution based on studies of stellar populations of the Milky Way and the Local Group galaxies. Those interested in attending should apply using the online form below. After providing the requested basic data, please log in to your personal area and provide a short paragraph about your research interest, your motivation to join the school and your CV. All information should be submitted not later than 14th July 2023. Selected candidates will be informed before 31st July and instructions on how to proceed with the payment of the registration fee will then be sent by email.
Attendance requires a registration fee of 370 €, which covers:
- Coffee break and lunch during the lecture days.
- Conference dinner
- Full-day excursion in Tenerife on November 11th, including a visit to the Observatory of Izaña.
We are also planning an optional visit to the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in the beautiful island of La Palma, on Thursday November 16th, with an additional cost of 320 €. This trip will take place if it gathers the interest of a minimum amount of people (15), a requirement that has been met in all previous editions of the school. The trip includes the return flight from Tenerife to La Palma, bus transfers, lunch and a guided tour of the main telescopes. It is a full day trip, and we do not expect to be back in Tenerife before 20:30h or so.
A limited number of grants may be provided by the organization to a limited number of participants. Those applicants requiring grants may fill in the corresponding form in the personal area. The participants awarded any grants will be informed after the selection of the candidates.
