Abstract

Recent high space resolution observations at the centers of galaxies have a compact star cluster in their very center, such nuclear clusters have been detected in a variety of Hubble type galaxies and many show also a coincidence with active galactic nuclei.

In this work we present numerical models for the accretion and wind flows of the matter that is reinserted by the massive members of a young star cluster with a central supermassive black hole. We found the hydrodynamic solution for star clusters evolving in a catastrophic cooling regime, where the gas becomes thermally unstable and the stagnation radius is defined mainly by cooling instead of gravity. We found an upper limit for the cluster mass for which the accretion luminosity equals to the Eddington limit.
