A toy model for irradation pressure effects in binaries

Abstract

The traditional way for estimating the shape of the secondary in a binary system due to irradiation pressure effects, has been always through the potential Roche approach, even tough, the irradiation pressure is a non-conservative force. We use a new method (isobaric method) that do not need to use that approximation and in general is possible to add more terms (physics) to the differential equation it implies. Finally, we constructed a toy model for different typical systems (HMXBs, LMXBs,CVs) and show the results.
