Travel Information
The closest airport to La Laguna is Tenerife Norte (TFN). Most flight connections to TFN are provided through Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN). From TFN, the cities of La Laguna and Santa Cruz can be conveniently reached by public transportation (~€2.65) or Taxi (La Laguna: ~€10, Santa Cruz: ~€30). The Aeroexpress Bus 20 takes you from TFN to La Laguna (Intercambiador de La Laguna) as well as to Santa Cruz (Intercambiador de Santa Cruz) in less than 15 and 30 minutes, respectively.

Tenerife South (TFS) is the island's major airport and is connected to many European cities by direct flights provided by low-cost companies. The airport is on the far side of the island (73km, 1h drive) and connected to La Laguna via the public transport Bus 343, which connects the airport TFS with airport TFN. Alternatively (and faster), you can take the express Bus 10 to Santa Cruz (every 30 minutes at daytime, cost ~10 €) followed by the Tranvia (every 5 to 15 minutes) or Bus 14 to La Laguna. A Taxi from TFS to La Laguna takes approximately 1h and costs ~80-110 €.

Getting to the Hotel La Laguna Nivaria
From the North airport (TFN), the fastest way to the workshop hotel is by taking Bus 20 to Intercambiador de La Laguna (about 10 minutes), and then either take the Tranvia to La Trinidad for one stop and walk for about 5 minutes or walk from the Intercambiador (uphill) about 15 minutes to the hotel.
From the South airport (TFS), take Bus 10 to Intercambiador de Santa Cruz (about 50 minutes) and then the Tram (outside the Intercambiador on Floor 0) another 40-50 minutes to La Trinidad.
Tickets for Public Transport
Tickets for the buses and Tranvia can be bought at ticketing machines at the airports or the Tranvia stations. Alternatively they can also be bought via an app (registration required), downloadable here . There are various options, the cheapest option is to buy the "Bono 5 viajes" (only available in the app) for 2.50 €, which is good for five travels of your choice on the tramvia or bus in the metropolitan area of La Laguna/Santa Cruz. This ticket can be purchased multiple times sequentially. Another convenientoption is the pay-as-you-go option, with each tram/bus ride in the La laguna/Santa Cruz area costing 1.25 €. IMPORTANT: In the tramvia, all tickets need to be validated when entering. In the case of a ticket in the app, klick on the purchase ticket, then on "Travel" and scan the QR Code inside the tramvia (above the doors), while physical tickets need to be validated in the machines at the doors.
