Meeting venue
The workshop will take place at the hotel Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain, on February 7-10, 2023. We recommend to stay in hotel Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort . The hotel offers double rooms with sea views ready for invidual use with :
- Accommodation and breakfast : 90,00 Euro per person per day
- Accommodation, breakfast and dinner (half board): 95,00 Euro per person per day
The price for double occupancy is :
- Accommodation and breakfast : 64,00 Euro per person per day
- Accommodation, breakfast and dinner (half board) : 67,50 Euro per person per day
The booking period at this price is from 6-10 February 2023 plus/minus 3 days if the participants want to extend their stay before and/or after the workshop.
Reservations of rooms will be done via email with the code ESPRESSO2023. We will provide further instructions soon.
The hotel offers also two themed restaurants “KOI” (Asian) and Mediterranean/Italian “La DOLCE VITA” for dinner appart from the hotel restaurant buffet Nimbra and Olivina if you prefer to have a separate dinner. We also recommend for dinner to go to El Charco de San Ginés in Arrecife, just about 7 minutes by taxi or bus.
If you are coming with an accompanying person/s, please let us know it by including this information in the "comments" box in the online-registration form . We will assume your accompanying person/s will come to the dinner. Please, indicate any other issue you considered relevant, such as food allergies, etc.
The hotel can be reached by taxi or bus from Arrecife airport in about 12 min.
We have blocked 40 rooms for this workshop at special prices (see above, taxes included) for a double room with single person occupancy, booking will be valid between Monday 6 to Saturday 11 February 2023. When arranging the reservation with the hotel (bookings e-mail: to be provided soon ) make it clear that you will be participating in the ESPRESSO workshop to receive this offer and mention the following code ESPRESSO2023. The rooms will remain blocked until January 15 (TBC), after that date the hotel cannot warrant the availability of rooms nor the agreed prices.
Workshop fee payment
There will be a workshop fee to cover the organization and logistics of the workshop. This fee must be paid via bank transfer, with a deadline on 10 January 2023. The instructions will be provided soon.
Social dinner
The social dinner will be on Thursday 9 February 2023. Please, indicate in the online-registration form your choice for the menu of the dinner. The social dinner will be done at the Restaurante Villa Toledo in Costa Teguise, about 30 minutes walking from the hotel Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort . More instructions will be provided soon.
Getting to Lanzarote (flight information)
There is one airport in Lanzarote, called Lanzarote Arrecife Airport (also known as César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport ) which connects very well the island of Lanzarote with Madrid in about 2,5 hours and Barcelona in about 3 hours. The airport is also well connected with airports of many cities in Europe.

From Lanzarote Arrecife Airport (ACE)
We recommend you to take a taxi since the airport is about 12 min from Costa Teguise, thus it is the easiest way to get to Costa Teguise, and it will just cost you around 15-20 €. Alternatively, there are frequent buses from the airport to Arrecife (line 22) and from Arrecife to Costa Teguise (line 01). These buses going to Costa Teguise stop just in front of entrance to the hotel Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort .
