How to Reach La Gomera for the Conference

San Sebastián de La Gomera is the capital and main port and transport hub.

From there, you can take taxis, rental cars, or public buses to reach the conference venue.
By air
La Gomera has a small airport (GMZ – Aeropuerto de La Gomera), located near Playa Santiago in the south of the island. While there are no direct international flights, you can reach La Gomera via:

Tenerife North Airport (TFN - Los Rodeos):

Binter Canarias operates daily flights from TFN to La Gomera (flight time: ~30 minutes).

Tip: Most international travelers arrive at Tenerife South Airport (TFS). From there, either take a taxi to Los Cristianos port to go to La Gomera by ferry (see below) or take a bus or taxi (~1 hour) to Tenerife North Airport to catch the connecting flight to La Gomera.

Tip: Los Cristianos is a 15-minute taxi ride from Tenerife South Airport (TFS).
By car:
- You can take your personal car on the ferry from Los Cristianos (Tenerife) to La Gomera. Both ferry operators allow car transport. This is ideal if you plan to explore the island or reach rural accommodations.
Note: Roads in La Gomera are mountainous and scenic. Driving is safe but can involve winding routes.
