Abstract

MHD simulations on supercomputers can nowadays provide realistic atmospheric models covering a vast range of stellar parameters. By constructing these theoretical atmospheres from the simulated evolution, it is possible to study the detailed formation of a number of spectral lines which are likely affected by 3D, non-LTE and magnetic effects. The final aim is to aid in current and future efforts to infer accurate chemical abundances using those indicators.
