Observations of photospherc-chromospheric magnetic coupling
H. Socas-Navarro

Abstract

The next generation facilities for solar observations (e.g., ATST, EST, Solar-C) are being designed around the idea of studying the field dynamics from the photosphere to the chromosphere. The traditional paradigmatic view of the solar atmosphere divided in disjoint layers is no longer valid, as the magnetic field lines that pierce the volume couple the entire atmospheric system together. In this talk I will discuss some of the observational efforts that have been undertaken to address the issue of photospheric-chromospheric magnetic coupling and how our capabilities will be augmented with the new and upcoming instrumentation.
