Invited_talk abstract details

I shall present an overview of the current state of mode physics in stars with solar-like oscillations and in classical pulsators. Particular emphasis will be on the properties of various time-dependent convection formulations and their effects on mode
stability. Also, the role of the small-scale turbulence spectrum in modelling low-amplitude oscillations will be addressed.
