Abstract

SONG enables us to perform asteroseismology from radial-velocity and line-profile-variation time-series data with very long baselines. The five satellites of the BRITE (BRIght Target Explorer) Constellation network allow to obtain multicolour space-photometric data with time bases of half a year each. Combining the two projects has the potential to unlock the path to a comprehensive seismic characterisation. First in this talk, we explore the BRITE Constellation project. The synergies of combining SONG and BRITE observations will be discussed on the example of the ongoing parallel observing of the red-giant Aldebaran. Finally, other types of variable stars, which are well suited for parallel-observing campaigns will be discussed.
