APPLICATION FORM FOR EC SUPPORT

Euro Summer Schools, at any time of the year, providing advanced training for young researchers, and organized around specific scientific themes will be supported by the European Commission (EC) through the Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses Actions of the Human Research and Mobility Programme (FP6).

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias has applied to this EC programme in order to provide EC financial support to selected early stage and more experienced researchers (up to 10 years of experience in research), from any country and nationality, to attend the WS. This financial support is intended to partially cover their travel and subsistence costs and participation fees.

Results concerning these proposals will not be released until August.

Eligible candidates to these grants should meet these criteria:

Early stage researchers (less than 4 years of research experience)
Any nationality and country
More experienced researchers (and/or young postdocs), with no more than 10 years of research experience are also eligible

NB: Following EC guidelines, an international balance between the participants shall be guaranteed; no more than 30% of the total number of those attending the WS will be nationals of the same EU Member State or Associated State, or third countries collectively.

The Organizers encourage applications from the following target groups:

Researchers whose place of work is in a Less-Favoured Regions² in the EU
Researchers who work in industry
