TeVeS perturbed field equations: An approach to gravitational radiation emission
Isabel Suárez Velásquez, Juan Manuel Tejeiro Sarmiento

Abstract

TeVeS is a relativistic theory of gravity recently developed by Bekenstein where gravity is mediated by a tensor, a vector and a scalar field aiming at explaining the missing mass problem based on MOND ideas. As shown by Bekenstein, propagation of weak perturbation of the tensor, vector or scalar fields is always subluminal. We examined propagation of joint tensor-vector-scalar modes. We considered waves propagating on cuasistatics backgrounds and discuss an approximate solution in order to study the gravitational radiation emission of the basic fields.
