Title of the communication: Lithium in black hole binaries
Preliminary abstract (12 lines max.): Lithium is believed to have been one of the 4 elements created by Big Bang nucleosynthesis. Hence, knowledge of its primordial abundance and understanding of its Galactic evolution is of great cosmological interest. In 1992, we reported an unexpected lithium detection in the secondary of the black hole V404 Cyg, which has been followed by several detections in other similar systems. We will give an updated review of the observations and discuss an scenario of lithium creation during accretion events onto a black hole.
