A model of unsteady jet formation
Preliminary abstract (12 lines max.):
We propose a model of unsteady jet formation in a system
consisting of a black hole and a magnetized accretion disk.
Accumulation and/or generation of strong large-scale magnetic
fields in the inner part of the accretion disk play a key role
in accretion instabilities, which lead to the sudden destruction
and subsequent collapse of the accretion funnel. In this
cataclismic process a strong energy concentration occurs on the
disk's symmetry axis, that leads to the ejection of a pair of
blobs moving in opposite directions perpendicular to the disk's
plane. Frequent and unidirected ejections of blobs may mimic
quasi-steady outflows.
